How to book a ferry ticket and get on board

This plan includes the activity and ferry ticket, but you need to select and register for the ferry time.

The ferry terminal in Ishigaki Port Remote Island TerminalPier No. 3 or 4is the ferry arrival point for Yaeyama Kanko Ferry to Uehara Port in Iriomote Island.
On the day of the tour, please wait at pier No. 3 or No. 4 after seeing the sign on the information board.

Q. How long does it take from the airport to Ishigaki Port Terminal?

As a rough guide, it takes about 30 minutes by rental car or cab, and about 30-40 minutes by local bus.

Q. Are there toilets on the ship?

All of our boats are equipped with a boat service, but please make sure to do this before boarding if possible, as it can be a bumpy ride.

Q. Can I enjoy it for the first time?

Of course you can have fun. More than 95% of our guests are beginners.

Q. What should I wear?

Clothing will get wet on most tours. Although there are no specific requirements, we recommend that you wear clothing that can get wet (swimsuits, rash guards, sportswear, etc.).

Q. Can I snorkel during the winter season (December to February) in Iriomote Island? Isn't it cold?

Iriomote Island is relatively warm in winter compared to other islands in Japan, so snorkeling is possible. In addition, wetsuits are available for free rental during the winter season. If you wear a wet suit, you can enjoy snorkeling in the sea in winter.

Q. Is there a place to leave my luggage?

We can keep them in our office.

Q. Do you have any photos from the tour?

During the tour, the guide will take your pictures with a waterproof camera and give you the data for free. There is no need to bring your own precious camera to the water!

Q. Is it okay if I can't swim?

Please be assured that you will always wear a life jacket during the tour in the water. Guides will assist you in snorkeling. Please feel free to join us.

Q. What if the flight to Uehara Port in Iriomote Island is cancelled?

No change of reservation detailsPlease come to the Yaeyama Kanko Ferry Counter in Ishigaki Port Remote Island Terminal at You will receive a free round-trip bus ticket for temporary transportation from Ohara Port⇄Uehara Port.

The return trip is the reverse procedure: take a bus from Uehara Port to Ohara Port, then take a ferry from Ohara Port back to Ishigaki Island.

*If Ishigakijima-Iriomotejima Ohara Port is also cancelled, there will be no means to go to Iriomotejima, so the cancellation will be free of charge.
